Terms of Use

Last updated October 29, 2026

These terms apply when you use Chowdr: the app, the website at chowdr.co, the Chowdr skill for Amazon Alexa, and Chowdr's connections for AI assistants. By using Chowdr, you agree to them. "Chowdr", "we" and "us" mean the people who run Chowdr. Questions go to support@chowdr.co.

Your account

Chowdr is invite-only for now. You need to be at least 13 to use it. Keep your sign-in secure: you're responsible for what happens through your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.

Your content

You own the recipes, notes, photos and posts you add to Chowdr. You give us permission to store, process and show them as needed to run Chowdr, including showing what you share to the people you share it with, and adding details such as tags and illustrations. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have already saved from what you shared.

Only add content you have the right to add. Recipes you import from websites are for your personal use; respect the rights of the sites and authors they come from, and don't use Chowdr to republish other people's work.

Acceptable use

Don't use Chowdr to:

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Assistants and Alexa

When you connect an AI assistant or the Alexa skill, you allow it to act on your Chowdr account as you approved. You're responsible for what it does there on your behalf. Assistants make mistakes: check what they add or change. Amazon's and the assistant provider's own terms apply to your use of their services.

Recipes and nutrition

Recipe details such as nutrition, diets, allergens, times and converted amounts are estimates, often worked out automatically. Don't rely on them for medical, allergy or dietary decisions: check the ingredients yourself.

Chowdr is provided as is

We work hard to keep Chowdr running and your information safe, but Chowdr is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may change or stop features, and we can't promise Chowdr will always be available or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Chowdr. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Ending your use

You can stop using Chowdr at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@chowdr.co. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell you if we do, unless the law or safety prevents it.

Changes

We may update these terms as Chowdr changes, and we'll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. Using Chowdr after a change means you accept the new terms.

How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
